Hull and Manchester United try to keep their perfect start to the Premier League season going on Saturday evening. Our free betting predictions suggest that Manchester United will be the ones extending their winning streak.
There were serious concerns coming from Hull fans at the beginning of this season. They had just been promoted from the Championship but went on to let Mohamed Diame, Sone Aluko, and Ryan Taylor leave the club for pastures new. Nobody came in to replace them, and they are still without a signing so far this season. Add that to a number of injuries picked up through the summer and they began the season with just 13 fit first team players available to them.

It didn’t stop them pulling off a shock victory at home to Premier League champions Leicester though, with an Adama Diomande opener on the brink of half-time being cancelled out by a Riyad Mahrez penalty. Robert Snodgrass replied by putting the hosts back in front again though, and they held on until the end to claim a crucial three points.

They followed this last weekend with a late deadlock breaker against Swansea as Shaun Maloney netted with ten minutes remaining. They held off the oncoming Swansea before hitting them with a finishing blow in the 92nd minute courtesy of Abel Hernandez to extend their perfect start to Premier League life. Midweek saw Diomande and Snodgrass back on the scoresheet as they beat Exeter City 3-1 in the League Cup too.
But Hull aren’t the only team in the Premier League with a perfect record. Amongst others, Manchester United also do. The fallen giants have made huge strides towards reclaiming their throne this season with the acquisition of Jose Mourinho, who has gone on to bring in Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba for a combined fee of over £150 million.

It seems to have worked so far as well. They opened their campaign with a deserved 2-1 win over Leicester in the Community Shield and followed it with a confident 3-1 win against Bournemouth in the Premier League opener.

Last weekend saw another impressive performance sealed by a Zlatan Ibrahimovic brace as they beat Southampton 2-0, with Ibrahimovic taking his tally to four goals in three games and proving he still has it in him to compete at the top level despite his advancing years.

Hull have done well to gain six valuable points so early in the season, but their lack of depth in the squad is sure to catch up with them. They still have just 16 fit players available and they put out a strong side in their midweek League Cup clash. Manchester United have won seven of their eight matches against Hull, including all four of their away games.

Four of their last six meetings have seen them win by more than a single goal as well, and considering their impressive performances so far this season I think odds of 1.800 for a Manchester United -1.0 Asian Handicap win are good value for money. I’m going for a repeat of Man Utd’s opening day scoreline with a 3-1 correct score prediction at 15.0 as well.
